Under Floodlights in 2006”
In 2005 The Kent Cricket Academy in association
with Flicx UK Ltd hosted an under 11 floodlit
cricket tournament for the very first time. 8
local teams entered the competition which included
both league and knockout phases.
The finals night was held during the Kent Spitfires
v Yorkshire Pheonix floodlit national league game.
Street End Cricket Club emerged victorious after
a tight final against St. Lawrence and Highland
Court CC.
All games are played with a soft, white ball on
a Flicx pitch, kindly donated by our sponsors
Flicx UK. Matches are played on weekday evenings
during the summer starting in July.
In 2006 we are running the competition for it’s
second year. If you are interested in entering
a team please call us on 01227 473605 or email
james.medhurst.kent@ecb.co.uk.
